Dang another weekend gone and another one spent pissed as a fart. I personally blame the family history of Alcoholism. I can stop anytime I want to I just don’t want to
Friday night was relativly civilised, went to see The Villiage with Rach, before popping down to the perenial favorite Popl Nero.
Saturday night was the night of excess this week. It was Dave’s birthday on the Sunday so we all headed out to Anatolia on the saturday night for Turkish goodness and booze. Anatolia -> Nether -> Popl -> All night bakery -> Dave’s.
Some crackin’ shots as usual.
Sunday breakfast (Popl, damn the bar maids are so hot) then into town to threaten people and exclaim loudly about drowning kittens. Picked up a rather cool little DVD about NASA and the second Dirk Gently book.

Wow! Taken me a week to get this posted.
Anyway… last weekend had a couple of things. First of it was Johnathan’s last day at work. He’s off to go and work for Bioware in Canada. So we all headed down to Laigns an hour early from work and commenced the drinking and celebration.
Later in the evening Laura (Kerry’s friend) arrived so sat and chated with her(Still trying to remember what CD I said I lent to her) and a few other people for a bit before going to leave for Helen’s 21st birthday bash at her flat.
To be honest I don’t really remember much of Helens party. A fair few of us had got dressed up, so it’s only cost about £66 for each time I’ve worn my suit
I bought a bottle of wine and quaffed it far too quickly. Don’t remember leaving or going to the pubs
Apprently I was carried to Fat Sams before I made the wise decision to head home. Woke up in the morning with my contacts still in (Owwww that bloody stings!), dozed for a few hours before meeting Chris and Mike to head out to the Arbroath Sea Fest
The origional plan was to meet Eleanor (At this point Yhan was somewhere over the Atlantic) have a wander around the Sea Fest and then help Eleanor and her sister Rachel collect some money for Mind. We grabbed the train over about 1:30 ish. Kim phoned from the Summer Sundae festival in Leicester, must admit I was most jealous.
So we had a wander and had a go and a really poor Royal Navy Helicopter Sim. Since we were all games people we just laughed at the quality of the technology and wondered how much they had paid for it
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the pub with a brief trip to try and buy sombreros. Yhan popped down about 8ish and we met with the girls later and wandered around town stopping off at far too many fishy pubs
Night was rounded off by some time in Devitos night club, finally getting a taxi home with Chris the most drunk I’ve seen him in a long time. Strangely the taxi driver wasn’t aware of wave particle duality.

Not much really happened during the majority of last week. Most of the highlights were at the weekend.
First off met Yhan, Eleanor, Dave, Mike and Chris and went to the Mandarin Garden on Friday night. Had a meal courtesy of YhanEl and then went out to several pubs…. if I remember correctly.
The Social
The Nether
The Yard
Once the evenings entertainment had subdued we ended up in the City square and decided to do a little swimming in the fountains there
Once out Mike and I went to our respective homes to get changed, and once I was dry I got my unicycle and went to join the others in the square for some unicycling fun.
Ended up riding around the city with lots of drunk people before heading back to Daves’ via the all night bakery. On the way back people were returning home from the clubs and a few of them had a ride on the unicycle. I must say it was a crackin’ way to cop a feel of a couple of ladies
(Well okay it was only one, and I was only helping her keep her balance)
On the Saturday I got up, managed to get more memory for my camera, a whole 512 MB
, and then headed down to Leeds to see Nick and his new wife Amandah. A rather uneventful journey down. Met him at his home, grabbed a shower and then went to the party and consumed too much booze.
It was good to see him, shame I didn’t see more of the folks from home. Amandah seems nice although I didn’t get to speak to her much, they were both under too much pressure from family. Once the party was over I waited around for a taxi and then went on a merry goose chase to get a hotel room. Ending up paying a whopping £92 to stay in rather nice 4 star hotel. Had a quick night cap in the hotel bar, and saw Mr Chris Moyles sitting chatting with people. A rather odd way to finish the night.
Sunday got up, had a superb and massive breakfast, before leaving back up to Dundee. Spoke to Nick briefly and we agreed to try and keep in touch a little better. Again the train journey upto Dundee was rather uneventful, most of it was spent sleeping. I’d totally forgotten that the Edinburgh fringe started on Sunday too. I had about an hour wait in Edinburgh Waverley, so I decided to have a wander. It was far too busy, so I took some of the back roads and just walked to Edinburgh Haymarket and got the train back.
That’s been about it really…. I must write more critique on things, something that others would actually like to read. Ho hum.
