This might be the last message I ever post about work (but I doubt it) You can read the whole story on a subdomain I setup. I wonder if I’ll get pulled up for that too
On a bit of a whim I went out today and bought a new Pentax S4 digital camera. It was going for £299, but I manged to knock PhotoFactory down to £286.?? with a 128MB SD card. It’s stupidly small.
I keep getting a lot of hits from what I think are work related IP’s. Just to let you know I’m watching you, and everything you do!
Anyway as you can see not much of interest here, I don’t know why I bother. So move along. Nothing to see here
A few months ago I got a wee letter from the council planning department. Scottish Enterprise (Tayside) wanted to place a sculpture just outside my flat. I popped into the planning office to get more info, which they didn’t have. Nothing was heard about it again, until they dug the road up a few months ago.
This morning I was on my way for a bike ride to find some workmen shoving the sculpture into the ground.

Met up with Gordon and Ed for a pre Rugby drinking session. Did a little pub crawl down Perth road. Started in the Speedwell, then to the Tay Bridges, the Tav. Gordon and Ed popped into Druthies and I headed down to Popl Neros so I could get a seat for the game. Tom and wee Dave popped in and we had food. Gordon and Ed finaly joined us, then Rich, Ben and Dan arrived. Followed by Dana.
Good fun was had by all cheering on England
Once the game was over Dana cooked some potatoe wedges and then home for a really bad nights sleep. I did try to contact Ed again to meet up but thier was no answer
Now to get off my fat arse and do some jobs around this place.
Just got back from a night out with Dana. She popped in then we went to the Beat Bar to hear a band called Mexico that she knows. Then we popped over to the Doghouse (man I haven’t been in their in ages, the last time was to see Terrorvision live) where there were a few other bands playing and another set from Mexico.
During the night Neill phoned to say that tomorrows skirmish is off
Which is a shame, I was looking forward to it. At least I’ll be able to watch the rugby.
I’m also going to try and make a concerted effort to change parts of my life I ‘aint happy with. I’m fed up of certain things, number one to go, my lack of doing things to change what I’m unhappy with
Anyway time for bed I’m knackered.
Last night, Dana, Helen and Doug came over for some grub. They provided the food and I the alcohol
Once we’d noshed down (me eating the pasta that had fallen into the sink
) we popped down to Bar Valencia, aka the Stance and Drum turned into a half assed tapas bar, to go and see Ross Nicoll, a bloke from work.
During the evening, Rory, Adam and Dinesh popped in to listen too. Once that was done and dusted we popped along to Tesco for drunk shopping. Finally dropped into bed about 5am ish. Feeling groggy for work
Today BAM! and Vis Entertainment announced a deal to merge. I doubt that much will change and there is still a long way to go before the deal is finalised.
More news when I can say it… can’t go insider trading can I
My mum is visiting Edinburgh at the moment, so she’s been nice enough to offer to pay for a hotel room so that I can spend an evening over there with her. I actually forgot to book some holiday otherwise I would spend the whole day out there. Anyway my holiday request would of probably been rejected because of a gamers day (AKA Press) build of NARC.
Not much else is in the pipeline, got a big skirmish on Saturday with members of ATAC. Which unfortunatley means that I won’t be able to watch the England Vs Scotland.
Tomorrow night I plan to do more cooking, trying to be healthy is proving not to be easy
Hopefully Dana and Helen will being around a “Ready Steady Cook” style bag that I can use
Anyway the game has almost built so I’d better pretend to work so I can bugger off at 5 and get my train.
Been a busy few days.
On Saturday had a party which was far too drunken. I ended up drinking in the Mardi, but worse than that I ended up dancing in the cages in Mardi. Oh I have no shame.
Sunday was the most relaxed Sunday I’ve had in ages. It truly was one of the best days I’ve had in a long time.
Work is as consuming as ever, therefore it’s shit. Managed to have a DPA argument with work.
Last night Rachel and Ben came over for Tacos, manged to polish off most of the booze that was left from the weekend.
Joined VideoIsland yesterday morning, and got my first batch of DVD’s this morning. Wow. Can’t wait to see ‘em all.
First things first tho… I need to clean the flat ready for the party tonight…
Starting to get back into the cinema habit again. The other day I was walking past the DCA and I noticed a few films that I wanted to see only had a few days left. So yesterday I went to see A Mighty Wind, and today I’ve been to see American Splendour. Someone at the DCA screwed up and I ended up in the wrong cinema watching A mighty wind again, had to swap cinemas… ho hum. These things happen.
I’m also waiting for my new smile credit card so I can sign upto Video Island as reccomended by Neuro.
